Berwyn, Illinois – State Senator Martin A. Sandoval (D-Berwyn) attended the City of Berwyn’s ‘National Night Out,’ an event hosted Mayor Robert Lovero.
The event, held the first Tuesday of August annually, is desired to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Hundreds of Berwyn residents attended the free event, which was held in the Morton West parking lot from 5-9pm. Free food, music, and other family oriented activities, which encouraged the fight against crime, were provided at the event.
“I support the zero tolerance policy on gangs, guns and graffiti,” said Senator Sandoval.
