Chicago, IL – Illinois State Senator Martin Sandoval (D-Chicago) met with Amalgamated Transit Union President Robert Kelly and Calvin Tillery during a recent tour of their headquarters in Chicago. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office">
ATU Local 308 was certified with the Amalgamated Transit Union as the Amalgamated Association Street Railway Employees of America on December 1, 1902. Their purpose as a union is to improve transit, workers’ wages, and working conditions. ATU Local 308 is the sole and exclusive bargaining agency for all of its employees who work for the Chicago Transit Authority, a municipal corporation.
