Sandoval honors the Turano Baking Company

Illinois State Senator Martin Sandoval (D-Chicago) passed a resolution in the Senate today honoring the Turano Baking Company on their 50^th Anniversary. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office">

The Turano Baking Company, originally named the Campagna -Turano Bakery, was founded in 1962 by Marino Turano who immigrated to America from Calabria, Italy.  When it started, the bakery offered home delivery of his wonderful homemade breads.  Over the years, the bakery has grown and expanded its line of products, which now includes Mama Susi’s Pizzas, found in grocery stores throughout the Chicagoland region.  To celebrate their 50^th Anniversary, a stretch of highway between Roosevelt Road and Ridgeland in Berwyn is being renamed in the Turano Baking Company’s honor.
